Day 7 - Sports Day

So its finally been one week and I gotta admit the trip is totally rating 99/100 so far. The one point only being the weather, but with the friends and fam it was still a non-factor. So between all this blogging (this thing takes so long to freaking do.. maybe I am just still inefficient at it) I haven't really had time to upload pics on Facebook. So i figure i'll do it once a week so check into that soon for more pics.

So finally got to sleep in a bit today. Dad finally decided not to call me at 10:30 and let me sleep till 11am... heh... sigh... So woke up and went to visit grandma. She was pretty tired today so we just let her sleep and we went to lunch with my Aunt DeeDee. (do we all lookalike? comment if you want..) Went to "steak expert" and... pretty lack luster. Steak was average but w/e not complaining.

So after that me and my decided to go to the Driving range in HK. Not the brightest idea considering it was 30+ degrees today again... and humid as heck. But he discovered we could demo clubs for a week by leaving our credit card. So obviously we had to go to one of the most expensive golf brands - Honma (all you golfers should have heard of this brand). The prices are ridiculous.... Going up to things like $5k Cad just for a driver.

We ended up "renting" 2 drivers and an iron.... The deposit came to $25,500 HKD... So like under $4,000 CAD... Ridiculous... had to guard them with my life on the MTR

So we went to the driving range at Cheung Sha Wan.. Pretty nice actually, but it was a bit too hot. Anyways my review of Honma. Way to friggin over priced. I'll stick to my King Cobra driver and mizuno Irons. They're too light.. makes sense I guess cause its a Jap brand. Plus I dont like graphite Shaft.

Anyways, after that Called up Ben, Sean and Wayne to meet up at Langham Place for dinner and then head over to Victoria park to represent PTHL and play some street ball with the Hongers.
Sean and wayne were a bit tired so I had about an hour to kill and did what any true gamer did.... went to the arcade. Played some more Street Fighter against people and racked up another 7 win streak. The only reason i'm mentioning this is that I literally made someone Rage quit. I thought i was gonna get beat up, cause I was destroying this guy in a best 3 out of 5 round. I was up 2 and was about to win the 3rd and he just got up, slammed his fist on the machine in the middle of the round and left.... It was awesome. I actually LOLed when he was out of earshot...

Anyways, I really wanted to get some ball shoes since I had a Employee Discount Coupon which was expiring at the end of Sept, so I asked everyone if they wanted to get stuff too. I discovered buying shoes in HK is retarded... For these Shoes, I went to about 8 different shops asking for 10.5 with none of them having it. All the other shoes were actually kinda fugly so I walked to 3 different stores on sneaker street before I found them.

Paid $949 hkd for these.....

Now this was sean's experience... LOL

We literally actually went to Mong Kok and Causeway... We went from wanting one shoe... to finally just trying to find his size. To no avail. Around 8 Stores... asking for 10 different models and nothing... Ridiculous.. Damn Chinese people and small feet.

So we finally made it to Victoria Park and went to ball. Wayne came with us cause we pretty much forced him too.... He was gracious enough to tape our first game. YES i shot an airball.. There i'll call myself out on it before everyone else does. It was the wind *ehm.... or humidity... or something...

Anyways its actually a really boring game. The Hongers we played against weren't very good but they were pretty nice and didnt really call gay fouls etc... We still beat them but was a pretty ugly victory. We started off pretty damn slow too... getting our asses handed to us, but we came back and won in style. PTHL represent.

So after watching the video... we failed as accountants again... We seriously don't know how to count... whats wrong with us.

So after that we just went back home for the night. Oh yea - This drink is awesome. I wanna take a couple cases back with me. Screw the slushy coke.

On that note. Its sunday. I miss sunday football. HK has no coverage of that. Stupid asians...
