day 17 - Macau - Asian Sin City

Alrighty. Despite being dead tired again at 1:26 am, I will do my daily update. Gotta keep the folks entertained at work or training or school. At least... unless my counter is only going up by glitch and no one actually cares.. anyways here goes.

So we were all supposed to meet up at 10:15 am today at Sheung wan but obviously there were stragglers (me included) so we met up at 10:30. Ben found a boat to Macau for $88HKD (the cheapest) but the only issue was that the last ferry back to HK was at 5pm, when we all planned to stay longer. The boats that ran 24hrs were about $176hkd on the way back... So we wanted to shop around for the best deal since there might be round trip discounts. But Ben prematurely *pause* bought a ticket already so that kind of limited our options... But not to make a big deal of things we looked around some more and ended up paying about 8 bucks extra per person (which ADDS UP haha).

In all fairness we were the last ones in the previous cabin but i thought this was amusing nonetheless.

First stop. Pork chop buns!

This was the "original" style. $18 HKD. Madddd goood. In fact it was so good...

Ordered another one. This time it was with a Pineapple bun. Equally awesome. Oh man i want one now...

VICTORY! I finally found my bottled vitasoy. Ben tasted no difference but man is it better. Just like bottled coke, cream soda etc.. Comment if you agree.

Oh yea they give out change in macau dollars. Gdamn it.

So after lunch we were supposed to meet at the Ruins of St Paul. Our (wendy, ben and I) stupid cab driver dropped us off in front of this.

Yea... stupid ass cab driver. Took us a good half an hour to find each other. Since we were split up into 2 cabs and our cell phones didnt work.

Saw this on the way walking around trying to find the others. Probably the most offensive shirt i've ever seen in my life. I apologize to everyone.

So we had 2 things to eat in Macau. Pork chop Buns (which we did) and Portuguese tarts (or Po Tats). Anyways, we were waiting for the "best place" recommended through Dee's friend. So i decided to try out a few of the other shops so i could do a comparison. This one wasn't so great.. Too flaky.

Anyways, after we found each other it took us another 30 minutes to find the "recommended place" only to find that it was closed.... Fail again.

So we moved onto the Macau Tower, where Wayne was going to bungee Jump from.

So while we waited for wayne to prepare for the jump we checked out the biggest Toys'R us in Macau. It sucked. I did manage to get a sword fight in with Iron Man.

In fact it got so boring. Carson asked sean to photograph his new watch.

Looking up seeing it was Wayne's turn yet....

Got another Po Tat while we waited. This was better. Still not at expectation yet.

So if you noted ... on the way up. Wayne was wearing a white t-shirt. So as we waited at the bottom we all tried to take videos of the jumpers. This was Part 1.

But in actuality... IT WAS WAYNE! Camera back on.

In celebration we made him shotgun a beer.. and we taped it. Actually this video is pretty funny.

So we made our way to the NEW casino Lisboa. This was the old one across the street.

Came here for the buffet. Was not disappointed. Fresh "bak cheuk" shrimp made right in front of you.
