Day 25 - Sports Day II

Man.. I gotta start updating this thing earlier... so tired....

So woke up today to got ready to eat lunch and driving range it up with my Uncle and "Uncle YK". But obviously not before a visit to grandma. I walked all the way there in the 30 degree weather with the sun fully shining today... only to realize i forgot my memory card at home.... FML.

So I had to literally run back to the house (timed myself took me 7 minutes) in the scorching heat since I didn't want to be late for lunch. Anyways... that obviously wasn't a good idea, was sweating like a beast even before the physical activities began. But no worries, HK Air conditioning is ridiculous and I was "dry" in a matter of minutes.. Gross I know..

So went all the way to Tseung Kwan O to eat lunch and hit up the driving range there.

Saw this and had to give a shoutout to my Sis. I think you'd enjoy this.

Dim sum for lunch.

This thing was pretty good. Its rice cake with a spring roll inside. So not exactly like a "jah leung" which has a "yau jah gwai" inside... sorry no clue how to translate to english for my white friends :p.
can't come to HK and not have some "Fucking" fried rice. (its fukien)

No idea why i took a picture of this. Random photo #1.
Driving range at Tseung Kwan O. VERY NICE.
Freaking hot today though...

Awesome view.

My "uncles" playing golf. Sorry its all in chinese.

Keep in mind this was my Uncle Yk's first time playing golf ever. And honestly he was pretty good at it. Props to him for being a good sport and letting me tape him. I'm sure he'll practice up this winter and be pro by next season! Apologize in advance for getting you hooked on an expensive sport! =)

Saw the truck of shitty ass television. I hate these shows and i condemn all those who watch these shows... ( i think i may have pissed off about half my "readership" haha)
Saw something getting filmed. didnt know who the celeb was.
Afterwards, ate dinner with Cheng, (sorry buddy this is a horrible picture of you but its the only one). Took him to Cafe de Coral since he's never been. We wanted something light because we were going to play ball after.

$44 bucks for a "sizzling" (literally) plate of sirloin steak. dunno how you're gonna beat that.

So, only for the purposes of KEEPING A MEMORY (since this WAS the primary reason i started this blog thing) and not to boost my ego we played basketball afterwards. And honestly it was ridiculously hot first of all but not as hot as my shooting. I know hard to believe right?(haters...).
Part of it was because the rims are extremely forgiving given that they are probably never tightened, and secondly no matter how many shots I shoot in a row HKers dont like playing defence, I seriously could not miss (cheng back me up here). Anyways, Cheng wore a Bosh jersey to represent the T.Dot and some people actually called me Dell Curry. Yup thats how ridiculous it was. They even tried throwing me alleyoops and said why didn't you dunk it (ok that was more of a joke, but the first one they were actually making comparisons). Another dude, kept shaking his head and laughing when i made it in... and i quote "wha da fack man... its like he play nba 2k11." yea anyways, its a bunch of LOL, theres no video evidence and it probably won't happen again for a while, but yup thats what happened. We played from about 8 to 11 and we lost a total of 1 game. And.. .it was the last game. Cheng actually shot a bank 3 WHILE cramping up, so style points there.

Anyways, you probably could have skipped through that jibberish...

We walked around asking a bunch of people after looking for a "cha chan tang" or a cafe. And we actually met this nice lady and her daughters?nieces? iunno... She was trying to give me directions and I quote and not a word of a lie "geen ley gum lang jai, ngor dai ley hui lah"... which translates to, i'll take you there myself seeing as you're so handsome. Anyways she was really nice, but she kept asking us to go with her daughters?nieces? to go to LKF and if they needed to show us around there.

But seriously, she totally gave +10 points in terms of impression for HK people. She literally walked us to the cafe (about 6 minutes away) and we chatted the whole time. She guessed I was from "America" based on my english accent.. but when i said guess "higher" she was puzzled for a bit... -_- (Canada gets no love).. but she eventually guessed Canada.. sigh But yup, thank you to whoever showed us to Tshui Wah in causeway bay.

Cheng bought me food and we had a 2nd dinner.

Anyways that was my day. Boat trip tomorrow.

oh yea. bought these too. was deciding between black and brown (thanks angela for helping me choose). Ricky, Brian and Leo also felt brown was better the other day when i first saw them.
what you guys think?

Later Days!
