Alright here goes. So woke up this morning and felt like some congee to sooth my aching stomach. So went to this place that i've been to a few times called Ocean Empire and the food there is pretty nice.
Current Anger Level = 0 (out of 100)
So i've introduced the anger level count because as i discussed yesterday, I feel I am progressively becoming more and more like a Fob. I use more chinese, my english is getting worse (based on the millions of grammer mistakes in this blog), i'm increasingly impatient while walking down the street to the point where I sometimes want to Brian Urlacher through everyone (for non football fans, basically i want to ram through the crowd like a giant football player). ANYWAYS i'm getting off topic.
So I ordered take out which should take only about 5-8 minutes Hong Kong Time. In Canada take out usually averages about 15 i'd say.
Anyways, I'm pretty sure they effed up my order and I was already a bit late (was supposed to meet up with Brian and Ricky in the early afternoon which it already was now, and I had yet to visit my grandma). Anger Level - 5
The food took 22 minutes (i counted) and by then I was super frustrated even though it would have been normal wait time in Canada. Anger Level - 25
So seeing as it took so long to get my food and I was running a bit late, I encountered a mass of people that were in my way during my walk to the hospital. Anger Level - 45
So i get to the hospital in longer than average time and get there ONLY to have JUST missed the freaking epic slow elevator. There is ONE elevator shaft that goes up to the 16th floor and I get there and i just miss it. It takes about 8 minutes per run. Anger Level - 59
I get up to the room only to realize my grandma isn't there.... she's back down on the 3rd floor getting a minor surgery to put a feeding tube in.... Anger Level - 79
At this point i'm just sooo fed up, I just gave up and laughed and realized I was becoming more of a super fob. Anger Level - 20
So the good news is, Grandma is doing great, the surgery was a success and without the feeding tube going through the nose it was the first time i've heard her snore like that in a while. It put a smile on my face and made the whole ordeal worth it. Anger Level - 0
On top of that I saw this when i left the hospital a couple of hours later.
Borat style plate?? WowWowWeWoW (shoutout to Sean and Tim) Great Success!
So met up with Ricky and Brian and we walked around Wan Chai at 188 shopping arcade. They basically sell random nick nacks, computer stuff and novelty items.
Along the way walking with Ricky he showed me these ladies that sit underneath the overpass inbetween CausewayBay and Wanchai. You basically pay them and then give them a picture of a person you hate etc... and they "dah siu yun" and its essentially a form of voodoo. Apparently its quite lucrative too. 400 HKD a pop? Man i think I could make up some stuff..
(i'm just kidding its not Brian)
Saw this too. Haven't given a shoutout to the twins. Kelvin and Edmund, you should get this instead of your makeshift chair and steering wheel. =) Oh yea, GT5 delayed fyi till christmas.
A type of shirt i would never expect brian to wear. LOL on so many different levels. haha i just kid Brian.
Rushour effing traffic at the MTR. Squished like sardines inside. Probably not as bad as Japan.
Went to TST really quick before dinner to pick up my dress shirts. I actually got 3 done but they screwed up one of them (got the wrong fabric). Iunno what do you guys think? I'm diggin the monogram.
Chicken cartilage
So like i said we went to the racetrack again today, but it was in Causeway Bay/HAPPY VALLEY instead of shatin. The crowd is a bit classier.
Way better view of the race =).
So i'll let the videos do the talking tonight (more like i'm mad tired). This was our first race, based on mike's "Research" from the night before. He already won 750hkd betting himself on a previous race, so had to trust him =). We both went 50/50 for the night.
So for those who dont want to sit through (or can't) my crappy, shaky, dyslexic videos we basically won 16 bucks the first race. Nothing huge.
The funniest part was probably hasseling the jockey we hasseled Sunday "D Whyte". Me and mike were at it again.. you can see the progression of us trying to talk to him at first. We tried asking him why his horse had a different colored bib at first (compared to the other horses, his was yellow and the rest were white) and he didn't respond. So we gave him a piece of our mind..
Probably the best part, not sure if you can see in the video, is that on both occasions when we tried yelling at him (shatin and tonight) whenever he hears his name, he totally looks in our direction like "ohhh yay more fans". Only to discover its two jerks just giving him a hard time for no good reason. Lol happy time.
So we were down about 300 bucks before the last race and me and mike were hoping to win it back with our "sure fire strategy" that worked last time.
Coverage of us watching the last race.
Yup we bet on 5 out of the 12 horses. Cuz we're awesome like that. Needless to say, we won with our strategy... Too bad it was only 20 bucks this time... So ended the night off down about $150 HKD each but it was still pretty fun.
Anyways, hope you enjoyed this, off to bed. Going to driving range tmr.
